Before arriving, we need to align expectations, logistics, and basic information to ensure a smooth experience for you and the team.

This step is mandatory for all confirmed volunteers.

Things to consider before coming to La Reserva Itzá


TRAVEL & ARRIVAL

Nearest airport / Bus Station:

Flores (FRS) / Santa Elena

Distance 45 min drive to the reserve

We will coordinate arrival details once your form is submitted,

Do not finalize travel plans without confirming with us.

ARRIVAL EXPECTATIONS

Arrival day

Recommended arrival time: before 4 PM

First day you will:

Get settled in,

Property walkthrough,

Team introduction,

Basic orientation.

Your experience starts the moment you arrive;

be ready to integrate.

Everyone contributes beyond their “role” when needed

If you’re expecting structure, comfort, or constant guidance; this may feel challenging.
